2013 International Conference on Global Health:
Prevention and Treatment of Substance Abuse and HIV
 
April 17 - 19, 2013 • Taipei, Taiwan
 
The UCLA Center for Advancing Longitudinal Drug Abuse Research (CALDAR), in collaboration with the Asian & Pacific Islander Addiction Science Network, is pleased to announce the first meeting of Conference Series to Promote Global Health, sponsored by the National Institute on Drug Abuse. The conference theme is prevention and treatment of substance abuse and HIV, focusing on Asian countries and Pacific Islands. The 2013 conference is organized in partnership with the Taiwan National Health Research Institute and Taiwan Drug and Food Administration.
 
The conference is designed to (1) share research findings in substance abuse treatment and HIV prevention, (2) stimulate international collaborations, particularly between the US and Asia/Pacific Island Region, and (3) inform cultural aspects of treatment and prevention of substance abuse and HIV, in order to promote global health. Targeted audiences are researchers, clinicians, treatment providers and policymakers.

Other Invited Speakers: Leaders in the field from across the Asia/Pacific Island Region (Taiwan, China, Vietnam, Thailand, Japan, Malaysia, Hong Kong) as well as scientist collaborators from institutions around the world (United States, Australia, Canada, France, United Nations).
